Every child will cope with the death of someone close in their own way, but through our work with Grief Encounter, we’ve explored some practical tips you can use to help them work through their grief.

The Forget Me Not Walk, organised by Grief Encounter, is a unique event that extends an invitation to everyone, everywhere. This special day is about more than just fundraising; it's a profound expression of community, healing, and collective remembrance.

World Prematurity Day is an opportunity to raise awareness of premature birth and its sometimes devastating impact on families. A global movement to spark conversations about premature birth and the hurdles babies and parents face and overcome.

At Hand on Heart, giving back is incredibly important to us. We’re extremely proud of our charity partnership with Grief Encounter; every year, we aim to raise vital funds for this amazing cause. In September 2022 we donated 10% of profits from our Memorial Jewellery range (Memorial Ashes Jewellery, Self-fill Ashes Jewellery and Memorial Fingerprint Jewellery) to Grief Encounter.

Grief Encounter is a phenomenal charity that does amazing work. We thought we’d mark the start of our fundraising month by sharing some information about the charity, its founder Dr Shelley Gilbert MBE, and how it has grown since its inception. 

Did you know that every 22 minutes, a child in the UK is bereaved? We are now 10 days into donating 10% of all gross profits to Grief Encounter in the month of June, and already have over £800 to be donated.
